Visitation: Wednesday, April 20, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Dobmeier Funeral Home, Barnesville, Minnesota. Visitation resumes one hour prior to the service at the church. Service: 10:30 a.m. - Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Assumption Catholic Church, Barnesville, Minnesota JoAnn Lammers, age 77, a resident of Barnesville, Minnesota, died on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at her home. JoAnn Cecilia Ferris was born March 7, 1934, in Barnesville, Minnesota, the daughter of Alfred and Elva (Singer) Ferris. She attended Baker Country School and Barnesville High School. On December 29, 1953, JoAnn was united in marriage to Dean Lammers at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville. JoAnn worked at Assumption Catholic School as a cook and she was a dietician at Barnesville Nursing Home for many years. She finished her cooking career at Barnesville Care Center, retiring in 2000. JoAnn was a member of the St. Anns Guild at Assumption Church. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and had the opportunity to go to a game at the new Target Field last fall. JoAnn was active in softball and bowling leagues in her prime. She enjoyed trips to the casino. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. JoAnn is survived by her husband, Dean Lammers, Barnesville, MN; daughters: Julie (Earl) Rogers, Barnesville, MN, and Mary (David) Mulcahy, Elk River, MN; grandchildren: Barry and Randy Peet, Fargo, ND, Tracie (Jeremy) Robeck, Elk River, MN, and Ryan (Allison) Mulcahy, Ramsey, MN; great grandchildren: Ella, Aidan, Nola, and Joseph Robeck, and Reese and David Mulcahy; brothers: Jim (Joyce) Ferris, Baker, MN, and Jerry Ferris, Elkhart, IN; sister, Margaret Hanson, Moorhead, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Elva; son, John; daughter, Mary; sisters: Gloria Manston, Patricia Anderson, and Beverly Griffin; and brothers, Bill and Larry.
