Louis Labisch, age 97, of Hastings, Minnesota formerly of Barnesville, Minnesota died June 21, 2012 surrounded by loved ones at Regina Hospital in Hastings. Louis was born August 23, 1914 in Atherton Township to Paul and Anna (Weber) Labisch. He married Marjorie Pasch on June 10, 1941 in Barnesville. Louis & Marjorie lived in Atherton Township where he farmed. Later he worked for Wilkin County and after retirement continued working for his good friend K. W. Christensen in their Potato Business. After retirement, he was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing cribbage and euchre. In 2005, he moved to Hastings, Minnesota with his daughter and son-in-law after the passing of his beloved wife, Marjorie of 63 years. He is survived by daughters, Betty Lou (James) Johnson of Leesburg, Flordia and Mary Ann (Victor) Teuber of Hastings, Minnesota; four granddaughters, Lisa (Dave) Zurbey, Theresa (Rick) Mulek, Michelle (Paul) Tisl and Sue (Chad) Winters, eight great grandchildren and one brother, Thomas of Cheney, Washington. Waiting at heavens gate is his wife Marjorie, parents, brothers and sisters; one grandson and two great grandchildren. Memorials are preferred to Assumption Catholic Church Building Fund. Funeral Services: will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville, MN. Visitation: Will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Burial: St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Barnesville, MN. The Dobmeier Funeral Home of Barnesville is assisting the family with arrangements.
