Lillian I. Sillerud, 88 of Barnesville, Minnesota died Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in her home. Lillian, daughter of Frank and Clara (Berg) Kuhn, was born November 10, 1920 in Moorhead. As a young girl she moved with her family to Minneapolis where she attended school and grew to womanhood. She moved with her family to Barnesville in 1933. She married Henry Pederson on August 4, 1945 in Barnesville. They made their home in Barnesville. Mr. Pederson died in 1974. Lillian married Carl Sillerud on March 14, 1975 in Rothsay. The couple made their home and farmed in Prairie View Township of Wilkin County, Minnesota and later moved into Barnesville. She continued to live in Barnesville until the time of her death. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Barnesville and the womens groups. Lillian enjoyed crocheting and sewing and she loved animals. She is survived by her husband Carl Sillerud of Barnesville; one sister, Gerri (Vernon) Seefeldt of Barnesville; two nieces Margie Grewatz of Mesa, Arizona and Myla Dilbeck of Moorhead; one nephew, Dana Seefeldt of Fargo; two great-nieces, Amber (Adam) Mangel of Moorhead and Cheslyn Dilbeck also of Moorhead; two great-nephews, Bryce Korbel of Burnsville, Minnesota and Brad (Boutsady) Holter of Plymouth, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry, and her sister, Irene Thrane. Funeral service: Tuesday at 11:00 in Little Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Barnesville. Visitation: Monday from 5:00 " 8:00 in the Dobmeier Funeral Home, Barnesville and one hour before the service at the church.
