Darvin Elroy Temanson Darvin Elroy Temanson, 66, of Barnesville, MN, died unexpectedly of diabetes complications on Wednesday, March 4th at their camper near Darby, MT. Darvin was born on June 14, 1942 to Kermit and Annie (Woltjer) Temanson who lived near Borup, MN. Darvin was raised on their farm milking cows, pitching hay and harvesting grain. His favorite times were when his father would take him fishing, trapping or hunting. Darvin graduated from Borup High School in 1960 and attended Bemidji and Moorhead State Colleges. In March of 1964, Darvin married Sharon Tarvestad of Ada. They lived in and near Barnesville until the present. Darvin was a heavy equipment operator most of his adult life, beginning that career with Ziegler Construction of Georgetown. Over the years, he worked with several construction companies including Tennefos, S and S, Camas and finally Aggregate. From 1973 to 1983, he raised mink on their rural home. Since the fall of 1999, Darvin and Sharon have enjoyed spending three to five months each year living in their 5th wheel camper in the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana. Darvins greatest pleasures were hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Sharon; his daughter Angela (Mike) Johnson of Rock Valley, IA; his son, Chad Temanson, of Hamilton, MT; two grandsons: Ryan and Eric Johnson; sister, Carol (Willy) Van Asten, Huntington Beach, CA; two brothers, Jerry Temanson, Globe, AZ and Leslie Temanson, Redlands, CA, and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Dwyane, and a sister, Nancy. Memorial services for Darvin will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, March, 20th at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Barnesville. Honorary pallbearers will be the many friends with whom he enjoyed visiting, working, hunting and fishing.
