Marion White, age 78, of Barnesville, Minnesota died peacefully Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in her daughters home surrounded by her family. Marion was born September 30, 1933 in Glendale, California to Rudolph Hoffeld and Elizabeth Stone Yates. She lived with her family on Catalina Island from the age of 6 until age 10. They then returned to California where she graduated high school in 1953. Marion married Kenneth White on January 7, 1956 in Downey, California and they made their home in Anaheim, California. They had four daughters, and Marion was a stay-at-home mom for many years, until getting a job doing housekeeping. She then worked at Warner & Lambert before becoming a grandma. Marion loved bowling, reading, crocheting, walking, doing word search puzzles, going to Vegas for getaways, and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. In 1994, Marions husband, Kenneth, passed away. In 1995, she moved to Barnesville, Minnesota where she was active in the community, especially HELPERS, in which she received many certificates of appreciation. Marion is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Ernie) Stevenson, Portland, OR, Shirley Gentry (Darren Zimmerman), Barnesville, MN, Linda (Colby) McFarlane, Clinton, IA, Karen Kimberlin (Dwight Johnson), Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Christopher (Christine) Stevenson, Broken Arrow, OK, Jeremy Stevenson, Portland, OR, Joshua Stevenson, Portland, OR, Amy Stevenson, Fairfield, ND, Michael Gentry (Melinda Warren), Reno, NV, Cindee Gentry (Aaron Lamm), Barnesville, MN, Charles Richard Lamb, III, Fargo, ND, Kenneth (Jennifer) Lamb, Fargo, ND, Shannon Lamb, Clinton, IA, Robert Lamb (Crystal Sanford), Clinton, IA, Shawn Kimberlin, Fargo, ND, Travis Kimberlin, Barnesville, MN; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Irene; her husband, Kenneth; granddaughter, Jennifer; and brother, Richard. Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Saturday, May 19, 2011 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Barnesville, Minnesota. Visitation: Will be two hours prior to services in the church.
