Lovell Oscar Larson, 85, died on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Frazee Care Center in Frazee, Minnesota. Memorial Services will be 11: 00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2014 at Lakes Area Word Fellowship in Vergas, Minnesota with Rev. Larry Vosika officiating. Lovell Oscar Larson was born on December 13, 1928 to Lovell and Signe (Lundstrom) Larson in Sullivan County, Indiana. Oscar graduated from Fargo Senior High School in 1947. He served his military duty for the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On December 13, 1952 Oscar was united in marriage with Delores Lammers in Moorhead. Oscar and Delores lived in the Fargo, Rothsay, and Pelican Rapids areas where he worked at various jobs. In 1982, they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and returned to Pelican Rapids in 1991. Oscar worked at West Central Turkey, Inc. until he retired at the age of 70. Delores died on August 2, 1997. In 2003 Oscar moved to Vergas to be closer to family. Oscar enjoyed fishing, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Hospice of the Red River Valley. Oscar is survived by his 4 sons: son, Duane (Debbie) Larson, Vergas, MN, son, Donald Larson, Barnesville, MN, son, Dale Larson and Lori Tjaden, Vergas, MN, son, Dalmer Larson, Perham, MN; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Dorothy) Larson, Texas, two sisters: Ruth Fletcher, Indiana and Louise Larson, Texas. Oscar was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; parents; 3 daughters: Debra, Deanna, and Christie.
