Lloyd Heng, age 80, of Kent, Washington, formerly of Barnesville, Minnesota died Monday, May 14, 2012 in Port Orchard, Washington. Lloyd Richard Heng was born May 27, 1931 in rural Barnesville, Minnesota the son of John and Mathilda (Paulson) Heng. He was raised there and graduated from Barnesville High School in 1951. From 1953 until 1955 he served in the U.S. Army being stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado. Upon his discharge he returned to Barnesville and worked for Kost Brothers in Downer. In 1957 he moved to Seattle, Washington where he spent the next 33 years working for Boeing Aircraft. In 1990 he retired and moved to Kent, Washington. Some of Lloyds enjoyments in life were dancing and listening to country music. Lloyd is survived by his brothers: Stanley (Marlys) Heng and Russell (Henrietta) Heng both of Barnesville, Minnesota, sisters: Harriet Schmidt, and Bernice Ernst, both of Moorhead, Minnesota; Ethel Cody, of Emmetsberg, Iowa; Bertha (Ernie) Geschke, of Spokane, Washington; sister-in-law, Lavonne Heng of Barnesville, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Arndt, Elmer and Raymond and sister, Ellen. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 19, 2012 in the Dobmeier Funeral Home Chapel in Barnesville, Minnesota. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service in the Dobmeier Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hawley, Minnesota The Dobmeier Funeral Home of Barnesville is assisting the family with arrangements.
