Visitation resumes one hour prior to the service at the church. Service: 11:00 a.m. - Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Barnesville, Minnesota Carol Jean Schultz, age 67, a resident of Barnesville, Minnesota, died on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Sanford Health Palliative Care, Fargo, North Dakota. Carol Jean Biegler was born January 5, 1944, in St Paul, Minnesota. Carol was raised in the Perham area by her grandmother, Emma Biegler. She graduated from Perham High School in 1962. Carol was united in marriage to James Robert Hanson in 1962. Jim died in 1964. On February 14, 1965, Carol was united in marriage to Verlyn Schultz. For many years she worked at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge as a dietary aide. She also worked at Telnet in Fergus Falls. Verlyn preceded her in death on June 4, 1994. Carol entered the Good Samaritan Society of Barnesville in 2005. In her active church life, Carol taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and was a Sunday school superintendent; she was currently a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Barnesville. She was involved in Beginning Experiences of Fergus Falls. Carol enjoyed collecting cookbooks, writing letters, cake decorating, making Christmas ornaments, and all nature. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. Carol is survived by her sons, James (Cathy) Schultz, West Fargo, ND, and Bruce Schultz, Annandale, MN; her daughters, Vicki (Rod) Parr, Crookston, MN, and Kristi (Eric) Kanski, West Fargo, ND; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sister, Evie (Pat) Joyce, Dawson, MN; brothers: Kennard Moe, Wahpeton, ND, Marty Frank, Frazee, MN, and Arnold Moe, Brainerd, MN; special friends, Marcy Lehn and Sharon Paler. She was preceded in death by the mother who raised her, Emma Biegler; husbands, Jim Hanson and Verlyn Schultz; grandchildren, James Robert, Jr. and Jennifer Rose; uncles, Harold, Earl, and Ed Biegler.
