Keith A. Lewis, 57 of Barnesville, Minnesota died Friday, January 30, 2009, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 3, at 2:00 in St. James United Church of Christ, Barnesville with Pastor Wendy Ward officiating. Linda Davidson will serve as soloist accompanied by organist Grace McEvers. Pallbearers will be Al Aamodt, Darrell Dodge, Shannon Pauna, Harry Nelson, Mike Sacrison and Darrel Thomas. Visitation will be Monday, from 5:00 " 8:00 in Dobmeier Funeral Home, Barnesville and two hours before the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in City Cemetery, Barnesville. Keith, son of Edward and Evelyn (Johnson) Lewis, was born January 7, 1952 in Moorhead. He attended school and grew to manhood in Barnesville, graduating from Barnesville High School in 1970. He was baptized, confirmed and a member of St. James United Church of Christ in Barnesville. Keith moved to Eugene, Oregon where he drove a logging truck. He married Donnes Morley in Nevada. They made their home in San Jose, California where he worked for American Airlines. He was later transferred to Minneapolis. He returned to Barnesville where he worked for Larry Davis and Son before becoming self employed. This past year he worked for MCRS in Moorhead until his illness forced him to quit. Keith enjoyed watching sports, hunting, fishing, playing cards and darts. He treasured his time with family and friends. Keith is survived by his mother, Evelyn Lewis; one sister Judy (Wayne) Bjerketvedt; two brothers, Bruce (Sharon) Lewis and Roger (Kathy McLaughlin) Lewis all of Barnesville. He is also survived by his niece, Jamie (Phillip) Swenson; nephew Evan Lewis, great-nephews, Cole and Carter Swenson all of Barnesville; special friend Kim Trautman and his beloved dog, Raven. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward; his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
