Ronald Cole, 72, died on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND with his family by his side. Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Barnesville, MN with Rev. Colin Grangaard officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Monday, May 20, 2013 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Ronald Gene Cole was born on September 19, 1940 to Roy Porter and Cecil Jane (Falkingham) Cole in Montevideo, MN. He grew up and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1958. Ron married his high school sweetheart Joan Marie Agre on August 2, 1959 in Wood Lake, MN. They started out their married life in Granite Falls, MN, then in Montevideo, MN, gradually ending up in Barnesville in 1970. Ron worked in the grocery business for several years. He worked many years as a traveling salesman. Ron was an active member of Our Saviors Church. He loved music and sang for many special events. He was a member of the Barnesville Rod & Gun Club and the Eagles Club of Fargo where he received his 40 year pin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Ron was also an avid Minnesota Viking and Twin fan. Ronald is survived by his wife Joan, Barnesville, MN, four children: Julie Ahmann, of Fargo, Michelle (Kim) Peterson, Sue (Rob) Praska, , Rich Cole all of Barnesville, MN, 12 grandchildren: Kayla Halverson, Jenna (Ronnie) Nordstrom, Andrew Halverson, Madison Ahmann, Trisha (Corey) OLeary, Alyssa (fiancee Josh Knoll) Peterson, Jaymie (fiancee Dan Sadek) Peterson, Taylor Peterson, Corey (fiance Abby Brandt) Praska, Bryan Praska, Brianna Cole, Matthew Cole, 2 great grandchildren: Brandon Gorden Halverson, Will OLeary, two sisters: Mary (Roger) Nielsen of Granite Falls, MN, Joyce Sumner of Bloomington, MN and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Danny Cole.
