David Bulik, age 92, of Barnesville, Minnesota died Friday, March 30, 2011 at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota. David A. Bulik was born June 9, 1919 in rural Wilkin County, Minnesota the son of Joseph and Gladys (Stevenson) Bulik. He was raised in Wilkin County where he attended country school. On October 2, 1940 he was united in marriage to Rose Neppl in Kent, Minnesota. They established their home on a farm in Wilkin County where they farmed for many years and in 1962 moved into Barnesville. David continued farming and also worked as a custom harvester, harvesting for farmers from the Rio Grande Valley all the way to Canada. He later worked at Fargo Foundry and then Dakota Sales as a machinist. Rose passed away in July of 1998 and David has continued to make his in Barnesville. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and was active in the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion. David was a man of many talents and could fix just about anything. He is survived by his son: David (Sandra) Bulik, Jr. of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; daughters, Judy Frederiksen and Margaret (Don) Gray both of Barnesville, Minnesota and Mary (Kerry) Foster of Lake City, Tennessee; daughter-in-law: Jacki Bulik of Denver, Colorado; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and sister: Eileen Thompson of Barnesville, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose; son, Tom Bulik; brother, Bob and sister, Elizabeth Tschakert. Memorial Mass: 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville. Visitation: One hour prior to services in the church. Interment: St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Barnesville. Celebrant: Fr. Gary LaMoine Honorary Pallbearers: will be Davids Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and members of Assumption Catholic Church. The Dobmeier Funeral Home of Barnesville is assisting the family with arrangements.
