Pearl A. Quinnild, 79, a resident of Barnesville, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Essentia Health in Fargo. Pearl Walker was born October 18, 1932 at Moorhead, Minnesota the daughter of Thomas and Clara Walker. She was raised on a farm near Rustad, Minnesota and attended school in Comstock, Minnesota where she graduated from High School. Upon graduating she attended the Interstate Business College in Moorhead and then began working as a secretary for American Crystal Sugar in Moorhead. On January 17, 1953 she was united in marriage to Vern Quinnild in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They established their home on a farm near Comstock until moving into Barnesville in 1955 where they have lived through the years. Pearl was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and their Ladies Aide. She was a housewife on the Quinnild Farm, was involved with the Clay Country Historical Society and worked at Fargo Rubber Stamp and Concordia College. Pearl enjoyed reading and research, genealogy, and was very interested in her Norwegian Heritage. Pearl is survived by her husband of 58 years, Vern, sons: Paul (Carol) Quinnild, Barnesville, MN, and James (Stephanie) Quinnild, Tokyo, Japan; grandchildren, Sheri (Scott) Skogen, Bryan Gray, Matt Quinnild, Samuel, Thomas and Jack Quinnild; great grandchildren, Katie, Alli, Mckenzie, Bailey and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Thomas, Charles and Basil. Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Friday, December 16, 2011 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Barnesville Visitation: will be on Thursday at the Dobmeier Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and one hour prior to services in the church.
