Donald A. Gray, 65, Barnesville, MN died on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at ClayCo Care Center while rehabbing following heart surgery. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, February 27, 2015 at St. James United Church of Christ in Barnesville, MN with Pastor Wendy Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the City Cemetery, Barnesville. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday. Donald Albert Gray, son of Albert and Jessie (Miller) Gray was born November 24, 1949, in Valley City, ND. The family lived in Tower City, ND, moving to Glyndon in 1951 and to Downer in 1955. He attended school in Barnesville, graduating in 1967. He was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Bulik on October 5, 1968, at Assumption Catholic Church. They lived in Barnesville for a few years before moving to Downer in 1975. Don began working at Fairmont Creamery until 1980, and continued to work at Cass-Clay Creamery in Fargo until retirement in 2010. Don was active in Baseball, Football and Wrestling. He played softball for many years on the Barnesville VFW team. He enjoyed lawn mowing and gardening. He liked to finish his yard work with a beer and tomato juice. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan, along with Bison Football and F-M RedHawks Baseball. He also was an avid Barnesville Trojan Sports Fan. It brought Don great joy to coach Babe Ruth Baseball for his sons and their teammates. During family gatherings, he liked to play cards and teach the kids how to gamble. He is survived by his wife Margaret, Downer, MN, four children: Kristi (Mark) Geigle, Barnesville, Angie Gray, Barnesville, Brent (Megan) Gray, Moorhead, MN, Marty (Melissa) Gray, Barnesville, nine grandchildren: Lakin, Grayson, Kaden Geigle, Shelby McGough, Colby Braton, Noah Gray, Evan Gray, Brodee and Kenadee Gray, great grandson Ryder McGough, his sisters: Harriet (Donnie) Fischer, Glyndon, Sandy (Lowell) Nelson, Moorhead, Renee (Al) Aamodt, Horace, ND; sister-in-law Carol (Paul) Quinnild, Barnesville; brother-in-law, Dale Champ, Elbow Lake, MN; sisters and brother in law, Judy Frederiksen, Barnesville, Dave (Sandy) Bulik, Detroit Lakes, Mary (Kerry) Foster, Lake City, TN, Jackie Bulik, Denver, CO, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jessie; an infant daughter; his twin brother Ronnie, and another brother Fred; three sisters: Nora Anderson, Joy Champ, and Gloria Fischer Milligan; father and mother in law Dave and Rose Bulik, brothers-in-law Richard Anderson, Tom Bulik, Gus Frederiksen, and Darwin Fischer.
