Devoted wife, mother and servant to our Lord, Loretta Nosal, 79, of Barnesville, Minnesota was called home on Friday the 20 of March 2015. Loretta Catherine Haberlach was born on October 8, 1935, to Sebastian and Helen (Grossman) Haberlach residing at the time in Calgary, Canada. She along with her twelve siblings moved to and grew up in Fargo, North Dakota where the family earned a living in the construction trades. Loretta graduated high school in Fargo later working as a LPN at Saint John's Hospital, Fargo. As fate would have it she met, fell in love with and later married Emil John Nosal of Barnesville, Minnesota settling onto a small farm outside of Barnesville where the young couple started their family. By day Loretta tended to their small farm raising chickens and the first two of four children, Cathy & Dan while Emil worked as a carpenter by day, farmer in the evening and on weekends. In 1962, they purchased Larson's Red Owl which they renamed Nosal's Red Owl which along with Emil's younger brother Ray operated for the next 21 years. While owning and operating their first of three Red Owl store fronts, sons Steve and Greg were born rounding out the young family. Loretta was active in the Assumption Catholic Church serving as an Eucharistic Minister, a member and past president of the church's San Ann's Guild. Renowned as a meticulous homemaker, loving mother, she and her devoted husband raised their four children in Barnesville. Loretta is survived by her four children, Cathy (Charlie) Krogstad Fargo ND; Colonel Dan (Colette) Nosal Williamsburg, VA; Steve (Estella) Nosal Mesa, AZ; Greg (Gina) Nosal Mandan ND; seven beautiful grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two Sisters Emma (George) Alberts Marshfield, WI; Tess (George) Olson Proctor, MN; brother Tony (Joy)Haberlach, Portland, OR. Loretta was preceded in death by her loving husband Emil John Nosal, January 12th, 1995, Sisters: Helen Grossman, Marie (Adam) Deck , Catherine (Art) Medely, Brothers: Infant boy Lou, Xavier (Freda) Haberlach, Bill (Audrie) Haberlach, Lou (Agnes) Haberlach, Leo (Rita) Haberlach, John (Dorothy) Haberlach, Frank (Margaret) Haberlach. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Wednesday, March 25th at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, with prayer service at 7 pm. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 26, at the Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville with Father Gary LaMoine presiding.
