Glen R. Trickle, 54, died unexpectedly at Essentia St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, MN on Monday, April 20, 2015 with his sister, niece, nephew, and his caregivers by his side. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN with Pastors Jim Green and Keith Walka officiating. Burial will follow in Rindal Cemetery, rural Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday. Glen Robert Trickle was born on July 15, 1960 to Claude and Lelia (Alby) Trickle in Thief River Falls, MN. Glen was developmentally challenged since birth, but made every effort to live a normal life. He was the youngest of 14 children. He attended school in Thief River Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1977. Glen lived for many years with his mother in Thief River Falls. As time moved on, Glen has been living in a few different group homes, and most recently at Guided Transitions in Duluth, MN with a wonderful group of caring individuals. Glen had several interests and hobbies during his life time. As a teenager, he enjoyed playing Chess and collecting pewter war figurines. He has always had a fascination with anything mythological. Glen liked to live as a child of the 60's with a love for the Beatle's, bandanas, and jean jackets. In the last years, he has compiled and collected pens and business cards from every place he went. Harley Davidson motorcycles were a love of his also. He was proud of becoming sober, carried the serenity prayer and a sobriety coin in his pocket, and was an active AA member for close to 30 years. He is survived by 10 brothers and sisters: Muriel (Phil) Pridham, Wichita Falls, TX; John Trickle, Red Lake Falls, MN, Clyde (Pat) Trickle, Gilbert, AZ; Mary (Ronald) Broten, Douglas, WY; Gaylene (Roger) Berg, Pelican Rapids, MN, David (Shirley) Trickle, Glyndon, MN, Gloria "Jeannie" Simon, Thief River Falls, MN, Paul Trickle, Thief River Falls, MN, Gerald (Margie) Trickle, Moorhead, MN, Jim Trickle, Douglas, WY, brother in law, Ron Morey, Barnesville, MN, sister in law Judith (Wally) Littlefield, Fargo, ND, special aunt Shirley Alby, Sioux Falls, SD, Janet McCoy, Van Alstyne, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews, and his compassionate caregivers at his home in Duluth. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Geraldine Trickle and Susan Morey, and brother Larry Trickle.
