Florence A. McDunn, 94, of Barnesville, MN died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 with the wonderful Comfort Care at ClayCo Care Center. Florence Anna Frink was born on August 9, 1920 to Henry H. and Ida Mae (Gunn) Frink in Brookville Township, Minnesota. She grew up in Emmettsville, Iowa and moved to Barnesville, MN in her teenage years. She graduated from Barnesville High School in 1939. On September 4, 1939, she married Edward "Charlie" Charles McDunn in Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville. They made their home in Barnesville and raised five children. Florence was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, St. Ann's Guild, VFW Auxiliary, the Literary League, as well as a member of the Barnesville HRA board for 17 years. She loved to bowl and even scored a 299. She also enjoyed golfing and even had two holes in ones during her lifetime. Hospitality was one of her gifts and she enjoyed entertaining. She treasured afternoon coffee every day at 3 PM, for over 50 years with Audrey Johnson and Glorine Schulstad and in these last few years with her devoted daughter Phyllis. She will be remembered for her warm and welcoming smile as well as her love and passion for her family and her grandchildren. Florence is survived by three children: Bette (Dave) Bossart of Fargo, ND, Phyllis (Raymond) Peppel of Barnesville, Wayne (JoAnn) McDunn of Audubon, MN; and daughter-in-law Mary McDunn of Little Falls, MN; sisters-in-law Mary Frink of California, Cathleen Lovece of Florida; 11 grandchildren: Todd McDunn, Troy McDunn, Tom (Stacey Elizabeth) Bossart, Stacy Jo (Brandan) Anderson, Kelly (Christy) Peppel, Wendy Paulson, Traci (Brian) Lutzke, Terri (Chris) Happke, Melissa (Landon) Behrens, Marley McDunn, and Charley McDunn; 19 great grandchildren: Todd "Ace" McDunn Jr., Tiffany McDunn, Tess McDunn, Tabitha McDunn, Gunnar Bossart, Gabrielle Bossart, Sean Swanson, Kendall Jo Swanson, TJ Anderson, Isabel Anderson, Alexander Peppel, Elizabeth Peppel, Kendra Paulson, Kellen Behrens, Brock Lutzke, Brody Lutzke, Jordan Happke, Maia Happke and Kaden Happke; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charlie in 1990; one daughter Ruth McDunn; and one son Robert McDunn, one sister Vivian (Francis) Roesch, and brothers: Howard (Pauline), Vernon (Florence), and Chet Frink.
