LaCinda Mielke, 58, of Barnesville, MN died on Thursday, July 9, 2015 after a hard fought battle with cancer at Palliative Care, Sanford Hospital, Fargo. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 302 3rd St NE, Barnesville, MN with Rev. Jim Greene and Father Pat Sullivan officiating. Visitation will be held 6-9 Monday, July 13, 2015 at Dobmeier Funeral Home, Barnesville, MN with a Prayer Service at 8:00 PM. LaCinda Carol Mielke was born on April 23, 1957 to Henry A. and Florence Anna Marie (Disse) Mielke in Moorhead, MN. She grew up in Glyndon and Detroit Lakes, MN. She graduated from Glyndon High School in 1975, and continued on to attend MSUM, MSTC, Bemidji State, and graduated from Black Hills State with a degree in Sociology and History. She worked in the mining industry in South Dakota. Her employment at times was in the tax accounting field; but generally in the care giving field, making lifelong friends along the way. LaCinda loved the Black Hills of South Dakota. In 1999, she bought a homestead outside of Downer. She loved planting and caring for some 500 trees in her shelter belt on her property. In her past adventures, she loved riding motorcycle, and had horses at her step sister's farm outside of Georgetown, MN. She was recognized and given awards by DOVS for her volunteerism. She is survived by one son, Shae (Lacey Bjornson) Mielke, Gillette, WY; one grandson, Colton Mielke; three sisters: Beverly Bell, Rockford, IL, Vivian (Ronald Dunn) Mielke, Horace, MN, Kathy (Bill) Byers, Moorhead, MN; one brother, Dr. Raymond (Kris) Mielke, Hartland, MN; her rescued dog Nala; many nieces and nephews, dear friends, and especially the 3 musketeers. LaCinda was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Florence; step parents Harleth Mielke and Gordon Johnson; infant brother, Henry Mielke, Jr.; and one brother-in-law, Dennis Bell.
