Allyson Ishaug, 28, died on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at her home in Fargo, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moorhead with Father Larry Delaney presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Barnesville, MN. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM, on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Allyson Marie Ishaug was born on January 19, 1988 to William and Ann (Desing) Ishaug in Fargo, ND. She grew up in Moorhead where she attended school. During her high school years she was active in soccer, orchestra, and Key Club. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 2006 and went onto NDSU for 4 years. She then obtained her masters degree in social work from the University of Michigan. Allyson worked in several places as a social worker in the F-M area including the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, FirstLink, and most recently with Moorhead Public Schools at the Juvenile Detention Center. Allyson liked to write and would journal often. She also loved spending time at the lake with her family where she liked to ride the jetski. She also enjoyed her time on the family farm, 4 wheeling, bike riding, and playing catch with her siblings. The television show “Friends” was a favorite of Allyson’s. She is survived by her parents: Bill and Ann Ishaug of Barnesville, MN, one sister Sarah Ishaug, Fargo, one brother Grant Ishaug, Moorhead, MN, grandparents: Bob and Betty Ishaug, Barnesville, Vernon “Speed” and Beth Desing, several uncles and aunts, cousins and friends.
