Annette Jerger

Annette Jerger, 55, of Blaine, MN, was blessed with her angel’s wings Friday, March 25, when she lost the biggest fight of her life to cancer; surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at St. James United Church of Christ with Pastor Wendy Ward officiating. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Annette was born on January 12, 1961, in Breckenridge, MN, to Walter and Mavis (Peake) Jerger.  Annette grew up on the family farm by Barnesville, MN along with her ten siblings.  In 1976 Annette married Terry Schritz, Annette took on her most valued role as mother when her sons, Reese and Rory came into her life.  Annette worked very hard and decided she wanted more for herself and her boys, and it was her goal to become an X-ray Technician.   She graduated from St. Lukes School of Radiology Tech in 1987.  She worked several years at Meritcare Hospital in their Radiology Department, and eventually became skilled in the Cardiac Cath Lab, which she loved.  In 1999 she moved to the Twin Cities and started working for Siemens Medical as a medical equipment trainer. She also worked at Cook Inc. and TCO.  Annette spent the last 5 years of her career at University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in Interventional Radiology and the Cardiac Cath Lab; where she worked with some of the greatest people she had ever met. In 1999 Annette met her best friend and husband Stacy Stringer, they were married on April 22, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV, and resided in Blaine, MN up until her death.  Annette loved her sons and grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with them.  Annette and Stacy had a love of animals and it was her wiener dogs Sassy, Jacqueline, and Molly, who gave her unconditional love.  She would joke with Reese and Rory and called them their “sisters”.  Annette had a gift of gardening and could make anything grow. Annette is survived by her husband Stacy Stringer, Blaine, MN; sons: Reese Schritz, Mora, MN; Rory Schritz, Fargo, ND; mother, Mavis Jerger, Rothsay, MN; ten siblings:  Rose Rodacker, Casselton, ND; Ronnie (Debbie) Jerger, Barnesville, MN; Al (Nancy) Jerger, Rothsay, MN; Susie (Ron) Jordan, Fargo, ND; Sandy (Ron) Stetz-Desmarais, Fargo, ND; Jon (Roxanne) Jerger, Fargo, ND;  Sharri (Todd) Drussell, Hawley, MN; Jackie (Brian) Nelson, ND; Jay Thompson, Fargo, ND; Gene (Vickie) Thompson, Kindred, ND; four grandchildren:  Logan, Brycen, Addison and Elli Schritz, Mora, MN.  Annette also has several nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Her father, Walter Jerger; brother-in-law’s Dan Stetz and Royce Rodacker; grandparents Kenneth and Rose Peake and Jacob and Amelia Jerger; and her wiener dog, “Sassy”, preceded her in death.    Annette Jerger Funeral Bulletin
