Paul Olson, 41, of Barnesville, MN died on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.  Paul Allen Olson was born on September 3, 1974 to Myron and Shirley (Kiser) Olson in Valley City, ND.  He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Free Church near Valley City.  He grew up in Sanborn, ND and graduated from North Central of Barnes in 1992.  He attended Moorhead Tech and became a diesel mechanic.  He worked for Gateway Chevrolet and the past seven years at Titan Machinery.    Paul was united in marriage to Kari Jewett on June 1, 2002 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City.  They made their home in Barnesville.  Paul’s family and children were the focus of his life.  Paul was an excellent role model to his children and strived to teach them valuable life skills.   He was the rock of the family.  Paul was the person amongst his family and friends who pulled them together.  Since he was in high school, Paul has been an avid softball player.  Paul enjoyed bowling and shooting pool. He raced the #45 Pure Stock Car for many years and enjoyed being outdoors hunting deer and bear and fishing.    He is survived by his wife Kari; two children: Kimberly and Jacob; mother Shirley Olson; all of Barnesville; 3 siblings: Joan (Larry) Duffy, Sanborn, ND; Penny (Robert) Drouillard, Sanborn, ND; James (Bonnie) Olson, Barnesville; several nieces and nephews, in-laws, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father Myron and his grandparents.  Visitation will be held 5-8 PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Barnesville, with a Prayer Service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Chris Leach officiating.  Burial will follow at City Cemetery, Barnesville.
