Diane Kasin, known as “Little D” to many, age 59, of Barnesville, MN died on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo. A Memorial Gathering will be 7:00 PM, Monday, October 17, 2016, at Dobmeier Funeral Home, Barnesville with Pastor Tim Bauer officiating. Diane Marie Kasin was born on October 12, 1956 to Clarence Harry and Marilyn Avon Delores (Sellin) Kasin in Moorhead, MN. She was raised in Hawley graduating school in 1975. Shortly after graduation she moved to Minneapolis to attend school for accounting. Diane lived in the Twin Cities and worked for quite a few years with Dane Bosworth. In 1993, she moved to Barnesville, to live in small town USA. She owned and operated little d’s pizzeria for a few years, worked at the Eagle Café, the grocery store, the Pool Hall, and as a bookkeeper for the last five years at the Red River Recovery Center in Dilworth. Diane enjoyed socializing with friends uptown. She was a good golfer and enjoyed the ladies on the golf league. She enjoyed barbecuing and sharing what she made with her friends, family, and neighbors. Her French Bulldog Cooper was her favorite. She had lots of joy and fun spending time with family at the lake. Right before her death, she enjoyed an early birthday party with her friends at the pool hall, where she got to say good bye to many. She is survived by a sister Deb (Chuck Montplaisir) Borstad, Moorhead, MN, half siblings, Adelle (Donald) Schenck, Dennis (Linda) Kasin, Jerry Kasin, Ron (Alverna) Kasin, two nephews Brian (Stacy) Keeping and James Iverson, 5 great nephew and nieces, Jackson Schepp, Cole and Carson Keeping, Carter and Grayce Iverson, and one aunt Doris Simonsen.
