Donald “Tuppy” Grondahl 58, died at his home in Barnesville, MN after a courageous battle of cancer under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Cormorant Lutheran Church in Cormorant, MN with Rev. Wade Dutton officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville. Visitation will continue for one prior to the memorial service on Sunday. Donald Clarence Grondahl Jr. was born on February 26, 1959 to Donald and Calley (Johnson) Grondahl in Fargo, ND. He attended school in Lake Park where he played football and wrestled, graduating in 1977. He married Tammy Ann Otterson on December 17, 1984. They started their married life on a month and a half trip around the SW parts of the United States. They made their home in Fargo, where they lived for 8 years. In 1990, they settled in Barnesville. Don had many different adventures of work throughout his lifetime all revolving around working outside. In 2012, Don suffered life changing injuries in an automobile collision causing him not to be able to work. Don is survived by his wife Tammy, Barnesville; three children: Jessica (Dustin) Wirth, Park Rapids, MN; Andrea (Jake Hough) Grondahl, Barnesville; Joshua (Stephanie) Grondahl, Moorhead, MN; six grandchildren: Kinsey, Haden, Jade, and Jenna Wirth and Zachary and Benjamin Hough; three sisters: Shiela Nelson, Glyndon, MN; Sheri Kaiser, Lake Park, MN; Donna (Leroy) Anderson, Cedar, MN; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
