Dale L. Tenderholt, 50, of Moorhead, MN passed away August 7, 2018 due to injuries suffered in a car accident. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Little Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Barnesville, MN at 11:00 AM with Pastor Randy Whitehead officiating. Burial will be at Little Bethany Church Cemetery following the funeral. Visitation is Friday, August 10 from 5-8 PM at Dobmeier Funeral Home, Barnesville, with a prayer service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday. Dale was born July 9, 1968 in Fergus Falls, MN to Jerry and Mary (Enger) Tenderholt. He grew to manhood on the family farm in Tansem Township, Clay County, MN. He graduated from Barnesville High School in 1987. After graduation, Dale enlisted in the US Army, serving in West Germany. He witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall. He continued his service with the Army National Guard after his enlistment was up. Dale attended Moorhead Technical College, earning a degree as a Diesel Mechanic. After working as a mechanic for several years, he bought his own semi and explored much of the U.S. while hauling freight from coast to coast. After trucking for several years, Dale hired on with BNSF railroad as a Conductor, working his way up to become an Engineer. He worked as an Engineer until the time of his death. Dale was a warm and loving man, known for his ready smile and wonderful Bear Hugs! He loved hunting and the out of doors and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Dale is survived by his parents, Jerry and Mary Tenderholt, Hawley, MN; siblings: Dean (Rhonda) Tenderholt, Tehachapi, CA; Daniel Tenderholt, Fargo; Paula Tenderholt, Fargo; two nephews, Evan and Ethan, great aunt Delores Vivian, Butte, MT; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
