Faye Yuvonne DuBord

Faye DuBord, 80, of Fargo, died on Monday, September 14, 2020, at Essentia Hospital in Fargo.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville with Rev. Frank Picard officiating. Burial will follow in City Cemetery, Barnesville. Lunch will be held at McGrath Park in Barnesville following the committal service.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM, Friday, September 18, 2020, at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville.

Faye Yuvonne Severson was born August 2, 1940, to Fred and Eva (Olson) Severson in Baker, MN. She grew up in Baker, MN and attended school and graduated from Barnesville High School. In 1958, she was married to Andrew DuBord. After living a few years in Grand Forks, ND they moved back to Fargo in 1970, where Faye has lived ever since.

At age 40, Faye went back to school and graduated from Moorhead State University with a BS in Accounting and went on to become a Certified Public Accountant. She worked as the Finance and Office Manager for Midland Hospital Supply in Fargo for over 40 years. Faye was an avid gardener, who enjoyed planting, harvesting and preserving her produce. Her talents didn't stop with gardening, as you could find Faye painting the most exceptional ceramic pieces, often taking best of show at the Red River Valley Fair and crocheting the most exquisite doilies. In addition to an avid reader, Faye absolutely loved to bake. Christmas was always a tradition of lefse, krumkake, sandbakkels and crullers and a bunch of other goodies that she would share with her family, friends and neighbors. After retirement, Faye never slowed down as she worked part time at the VFW in Fargo and joined a quilting group where she learned to quilt. She also found a special group of women who not only enjoyed ceramics but also her humor and love of NASCAR.

Faye is survived by three children: Tammy (Bob) Garcia, Brookfield, WI; Debbie (Allen) Bjorem, Fargo, ND; Scott (Gwen) DuBord, Jamestown, ND; seven grandchildren: Carina (James) Barton, Tony Garcia, Alex (Matt) Schirmacher, Melissa Feist, Adam DuBord, Hailey DuBord and Carissa DuBord; great grandchildren: Jackson, Brooklyn, Sienna, Benjamin, Angelito, Reyah and Vayda; two sisters: Linda Tyree, Minneapolis, MN; and Lolita (Paul) Opgrande, Tacoma, WA; and her special friend Roger Lee, several nieces and nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends. And last but not least, her two favorite furry friends Susie and Sheila.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Eva Severson, two brothers Ray and Karle Severson, niece Kathirae Severson, former husband Andrew DuBord and many furry friends over the years.

The family prefers memorials given to any Human Society of your choice.
