Glendora "Glenny" May Nosal

Glendora “Glenny” May Nosal, age 80, of Barnesville, MN died on Thursday, September 28, 2023, in the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. 

Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville.  Inurnment will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Barnesville, MN. 

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Glendora May Kubitz was born on May 6, 1943, to William and Yolanda (Kenyon) Kubitz on the farm in Friberg Township, Otter Tail County, MN.  She attended country school in Otter Tail County through the 8^th grade.  She quit school to help her mother who suffered from Muscular Dystrophy and helped raise her siblings.  In 1958, they moved to Barnesville, MN. 

She then married Thomas Nosal on July 29, 1961, and made their home in Barnesville.  To this union three children were born:  Scott, Paul, and 15 years later Susan.  During this time, she worked various jobs, including the Silverline, the Pelican Turkey Plant, Barnesville Nursing Home, the Pelican Nursing Home, Mendalson Egg Plant, and the Galaxy Supper Club.  She has lived in a couple different communities including Perham and Pelican Rapids and returned back to Barnesville two years ago. 

Glenny enjoyed gardening, reading the Tabloids and True Crimes magazines through the years, doing ladies hair on the side, watching television, and keeping the house clean. 

She is survived by three children:  Scott (Shelly) Nosal, Detroit Lakes, MN, Paul (Sheri) Nosal, Barnesville, MN, Susan (Mark) Carrillo, Rothsay, MN; 14 grandchildren:  Jacob Nosal, Jarett (Hannah) Nosal, Tanya (Jonathon) Miller, Travis Nosal, Melissa Kuffel, Brian Carrillo, Michael (Jamie) Kuffel, Valerie (Ed) Nelson, Matthew Carrillo, Manuel Carrillo, Vanessa Carrillo, Jason (Kara) Nosal, Chris Carrillo, Mark Carrillo Jr; 13 great grandchildren; siblings:  Donald (Marlys) Kubitz, Gertrude Muckey, Lorice (Vernon) Seeba, Luella (Vernon) Stramer, Rebeccka Vogel, Marlin (Bernice) Kubitz; and 43 nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: William Kubitz Jr., Gerald Kubitz, and Ernest Kubitz.
