Harold Eugene Gelsinger went to heaven to be with Jesus Christ his Savior on February 19, 2018, surrounded by many of his family members, from his wife and daughters to his youngest great-grandchild.
Harold was born Sept 14, 1928, in Vandalia, IL. Most of his adult life was spent in the Lockport, IL area. He married Antoinette (Toni) Choura in 1951. They moved to Int'l Falls, MN, in 1992, and to Barnesville, MN, this last spring.
Harold served in the U.S. Army stationed in Korea, during the Korean War. He had been employed by Material Service Corp. in Lockport, IL, his entire adult life as a Master hydraulic and diesel mechanic until he retired at age 59. He served in various church offices in each church he attended. He greatly enjoyed fishing with his wife, children, and grandchildren in many different locations.
He is survived by his wife, Toni, and daughters Diane (Kenneth) Otto of Barnesville, MN, and Karla (Rodney) Azbell of Enterprise, AL; Grandchildren: Caleb Otto of North Dakota and Bethany (Andrew) Preston of Minnesota; Mandy Cowan, Douglas Azbell and Wesley Azbell, all of Alabama. Harold is also survived by 8 great grand-children ranging from ages four months to 12 years. All of his family will greatly miss him.
