Jennifer Hagen, 58, died on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at her home in Dilworth, MN. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, September 7, 2018 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Barnesville, MN with Rev. Chris Leach officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 PM in Keene Cemetery, Ulen, MN. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Thursday, at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Jennifer Kay (Holte) Hagen was born November 9, 1959 to Helmer and Florence Holte. Jennifer attended Pelican Rapids Elementary and graduated from Moorhead High School. After high school, she went to Beauty College and became a beautician. She started her career as a beautician in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Later she moved to Wilmar and worked as a dispatcher for a trucking firm. She then moved back to Fargo and worked for Cossette Trucking as a dispatcher. She bought a house from her friend Gleeann’s parents in Moorhead. July 11, 1987 she married Kevin Hagen and they made her home their home in Moorhead. Jennifer started her own business cleaning homes. Later they moved to Hawley. Jennifer had 3 children, Kasondra, Cortney and Adam. July 11, 2011 Jennifer and Kevin divorced and Jennifer moved to Barnesville and eventually moved to Moorhead, Jennifer went back to school at Minnesota State Community & Technical College and got her degree in Culinary Arts. Jennifer loved canning, cooking, fishing, doing crafts and crocheting. She made beautiful crocheted dresses and liked to participate at the Holiday Boutique at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Barnesville with Lenora and participate in other craft sales with her friend Connie. Jennifer enjoyed seeing Kasondra’s children Kiefer, Kaidyn, Klohie, and Kurbee when they would get together. Adam was and always will be her little boy. She was so happy she got to take Kasondra and kids and Adam on a vacation this summer. Jennifer will be missed by her mother and siblings. Jennifer leaves behind her children, grandchildren, her mother Florence Holte, siblings Sandra (John) Huhn, Gayle (Julie) Holte and Lenora (Buzz) Arntson. In addition she will be missed by her nieces Katie, Tiffany, Elana and Kjirsten, nephews Jeffrey, Dustin, Matthew and Aaron, her great nieces Samantha, Madysen, Paislee & Ellise and great nephews Kaleb and Vincent. Her special friends Miriam, Denise, Gleeann, and her dear friend Connie Johnson. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father Helmer Holte, brother Lester Holte and nephew Landon Arntson.
