Josephine "Jo" Mary Kluck

Jo Kluck, 91, died on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead, MN.    Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, February 23, 2018 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Barnesville, MN with Rev. Chris Leach officiating.  Burial will follow in City Cemetery.    Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday.    Josephine Mary Matejka was born in April 26, 1926 to John and Mary (Honcik) Matejka in Keene Township, Clay County, MN, the second of six children.  She grew up on a family farm north of Hawley.  She attended country school through the 8th grade.    Jo was united in marriage to Alfred J. Kluck on January 17, 1953 in Hawley Lutheran Church, Hawley.  They made their home in Mountain Iron, MN for the first years of their marriage.  In 1962, they returned to the family farm near Barnesville to raise their family.  After retiring from the farm in 1992, they moved into Barnesville.  Her lifetime was helping on the farm, raising her family, church, and active in her community.  She was an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, especially the quilters group which she participated in until she was 90 years old.   She was a Minnesota Twins fan.   Her first love was always her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.     Jo is survived by her children:  Jan Kupitz, Dilworth, MN, Jill (Judy) Kluck, Pelican Rapids, MN, , Jay (Missy) Kluck, Barnesville, MN, five grandchildren:  Ross (Amber Arcuri) Kupitz, Naples, FL, Bryce (Mandy) Kupitz, Eagen, MN,  Kali (Bill) Anderson, Hawley, MN, Rebecca Kluck, Barnesville, MN, and Sarah (Shannon Martinson) Kluck, Moorhead, MN, great grandchildren: Jalen Kupitz, Maddin Kupitz, Akemi Kupitz, Arison Kupitz, Warren Anderson, sister Sylvia (Frank) Weaver, Moorhead, MN, sisters in law: Marge Matejka, Moorhead, MN, Jean Blauert, Moorhead, MN, and Irene Kluck, Hawley, MN, brother in law: David Palm, Rochert, MN, and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.    Jo was preceded in death by her husband Alfred in 2000, her parents, siblings:  Lumir Matejka, Emil Matejka, Ray (Penny) Matejka, Evelyn Palm.    The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Eventide Nursing Home for the love and care of Jo over the past year.  Josephine "Jo"'s Memorial Folder
