Judith Frances Stellmach

Judith "Judy" Stellmach, 80, Barnesville, MN, passed away on December 2, 2024, at Valley Care & Rehab, Barnesville, MN. A Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 11:00 am at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Father Todd Arends will preside over the service. A visitation will be held Monday, December 9th, from 5:30-7:00 pm at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN.

Judith Frances Stellmach was born at the family farm in Atherton Township to Albina and Frank Stellmach on June 28, 1944.Judy attended Assumption Catholic School and Barnesville High School, graduating in 1962. She went on to NDSU graduating with a degree in Medical Technology in 1967. After interning at St. Alexis Hospital in Bismarck, she taught and worked there until retiring in 1997 to move back to Barnesville to help care for her mother. 

Judy loved flower gardening, needle work and other forms of crafting. She remained a fervent Catholic all her life and took comfort from that.

Judy is survived by her sister Elaine Landa, Moorhead, MN; her brother David Stellmach, Ashby, MN; her brother and sister-in-law Ed and Peggy Stellmach, Lake Park, MN; niece Karen Jenkins; and nephews: Keith Landa, Gordon Stellmach, Frank Stellmach, Bill Stellmach, Tim Stellmach, and James Stellmach.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers James and Gordon; and niece Marlene Bountain.
