Lloyd Lindholm

Lloyd Lindholm, 91, longtime resident of Barnesville, MN died on Friday, August 21, 2020, at Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids, MN.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at St. James United Church of Christ in Barnesville, MN with Rev. Frank Picard officiating. Burial will follow in City Cemetery, Barnesville.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, Monday, August 24, 2020, at Dobmeier Funeral Home in Barnesville, MN. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Tuesday.

The visitation and funeral service are open to the public. People are asked to follow the Minnesota mandates with social distancing and mask wearing. If you are more comfortable in an outdoor setting, pre-packaged lunches will be served at McGrath Park following the funeral service.

Lloyd Arthur was born on March 23, 1929, to Leander and Emma (Olson) Lindholm on the family farm in Prairie View Township, Wilkin County, MN. He met the love of his life, Ingrid Meyhuber in Barnesville and they were married June of 1952. Lloyd and Ingrid farmed near Barnesville and have five children: Gail, Greg, Debra, Jim, and Brian.

Lloyd's true heart was a farmer. He was the man of many talents who also worked in insurance, a crop adjuster, and at the potato house. He loved his gardens, dogs, playing Farkle, corn hole, and fishing trips with his family. Lloyd shared a passion of music, singing in the church choir for almost 70 years, and singing in the Community Easter Cantata's, calling square dancing, and singing for the "old" folks. He enjoyed wintering with Ingrid in Texas. He was a member of St. James Church in Barnesville.

He is survived by five children: Gail (Larry) Smith, Cross Lake, MN; Greg (Deb) Lindholm, Franklin, OH; Debra Mormile, Minneapolis, MN; Jim (Monica) Lindholm, Barnesville, MN; Brian (Erin) Lindholm, Champlin, MN; 17 grandchildren: Jason (Shelly) Braaten, Josh (Emily) Braaten, Cindy (Greg) Swenson, Kelly Hazelwood, Tony (Becca) Smith, Tamara Jo (Kevin) Richards, Christopher Lindholm, Bethany (Devin) Bailey, Sarah (Pat) Hendrick, David (Callie) Lindholm, Jess McMillan, Garrett Mormile, Courtney (JR) Cossette, Candace (Matt) Aakre, Colten Claus, Emily Lindholm, Eric Lindholm, and 20 great grandchildren: Brandt, Rolland, Ryan, Kolton, Makenzie, Joshua, Jonas, Annica, Pryce, Erica, Jenna, Gaby, Nolan, Lucy, Liviana, Lincoln, Carter, Lucy, Gavin and Jenna.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife Ingrid in 2014, his parents, 13 brothers and sisters, and his beloved dog Penny.
